DVT or deep venous thrombosis is associated less with populations consuming a whole plant based diet as compared to populations who consume mainly a meat and diary based diet.

People on anticoagulant medication for DVT are advised to monitor their intake of vitamin K as it has coagulant (clotting) properties and can reverse the effect of the medication.
